Most shops in Korea don’t open until ten in the morning, so there are a few early hours for timid people like me to make photos of display windows.

That’s a good shot. Spooky.
10 in the morning is really late. Our shops in town are supposed to open at 9 but we’re so laid back here it’s about 9.20 before many do. Then banks open at 9.30, or 10. After the school run I will go into town on the very odd occasion and I’ll get a good 30mins to myself and my camera. It works quite well when the light is good but it’s a long wait if it’s dull and dreary, which it is all too often at this time of year.

Thanks. You can imagine them coming to life at midnight and rearranging racks to gaslight the owner.
Having 30 minutes to yourself with the camera sounds great. I sometimes go downtown early to make some photos before the supermarket opens.
